Diesel generator sets are a kind of power generation device with quick start, convenient operation and maintenance, low investment, and strong adaptability to the environment. New or long-unused generators must be strictly inspected before they are put into normal operation. So what details should be paid attention to during the operation of diesel generator sets? Check the oil pressure, water temperature, voltage, frequency, etc. of the diesel generator control module. If there is any abnormality, it must be stopped and checked immediately. After the fault is eliminated, the diesel generator set can be started again.

▌ Check whether there is leakage in the oil circuit, water circuit, gas circuit and exhaust system of the diesel generator set, check whether the connections of the diesel generator set are loose and vibrate violently, and check whether the various protection and monitoring devices of the diesel generator set are normal.

▌ When the speed reaches 1500r/min and the no-load operation is stable, the switch can be closed to supply power to the load. The unit is not allowed to have continuous no-load operation for more than half an hour or less than 30% load operation. A dedicated person is required to be on duty when the unit is running, and overloading is strictly prohibited.

▌Short circuit is strictly prohibited during the operation of diesel generator set, otherwise it will cause serious damage to the equipment. It is strictly prohibited to disassemble any parts of diesel generator set when the unit is running.

▌Do not put your hands under the fan guard and any other parts with relative movement.

▌Do not try to touch the high-temperature surfaces such as the exhaust pipe, turbocharger, high-temperature coolant, heater, etc. of the diesel generator set with your hands, there will be a risk of burns.

▌Check the output voltage and frequency from the control panel. The output voltage of the diesel generator set has been adjusted at the factory, so it should be indicated within the normal range. For diesel generator sets with mechanical speed regulation, the frequency should be close to 52Hz under no-load conditions; for diesel generator sets with electronic speed regulation or electronic injection speed regulation, the frequency should be close to 50Hz under no-load conditions.

▌Keep the load of the diesel generator set not exceeding the rated value. Some models can run continuously for 1 hour at 110% rated power when necessary, but they must be run at rated power for 1 hour before they can be carried out.
